Here is my Great Grandmother and

Great Grandfather.

I decided to create this site to share my family genealogy. I have worked for a few years to try and trace my roots. I have had a few major finds recently so I wanted to share.

My mother started doing genealogy to ensure she kept our tree alive. When I was a child I used to watch her compile facts and notes when she would discover something new. She would get so excited. She loved to get information sent to her from elder family members. There were times when it seemed like Christmas for her.

She died in April 1997. The files she had compiled were given to one of my elder sisters. I don't know what she has done with the files, but I wanted to trace my family for myself.

I started with a package of photos that my mother had lovingly included names and facts either on the picture or on an attached paper. For the first year I was stuck and though that I would just give up. One day I found a link in my fathers side. Someone who is a distant relative had traced their tree which included my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother as well as my Great Aunts and Uncles. I was so happy! I couldn't stop now that I had found that, so I continued to look. I started looking for other sources to research. I found a wonderful website full of valuable information.

Recently, I made a discovery that I am going to be spending a lot of time verifying. If it turns out to be true I think that my life will take a tremendous turn.
